Will those games work to achieve the objectives? They may not. What then? (You learn by trying so neither you nor I know the answer to this question at the moment. You will have to know that, however, if you adopt this strategy.
Type what they have learned in Word? You need a better strategy than that I think!
And then a podcast? All in one week. I doubt it.

I like your approach to this project. I do think you could ask the students some better questions. Give them a challenge when they are creating a project, so when they show it off, they will be excited to show you what they have learned.
